For a variety of reasons, I do not have an exact count. A precise number is not really important. Seven hundred is a good enough number for the purpose of this issue of Listen to Life.

I’ve written about 700 of these posts, about 100 of them became my first book. I have no idea of how much or little impact they have had on people, but I do know that for some people, some of these writings have made a difference for them in some way. Listen to Life is also one of my presentation topics. I bring all this up for two reasons: one, never stop learning and two, persist in your efforts.

Buddhist wisdom states that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I believe teachers are around us all the time if we listen to life. We learn more when we’re listening than when we’re talking. Listen in every moment and you will grow every day.

Persist in things that matter to you. Doing so provides a sense of purpose and purpose, according to Viktor Frankl (author of Man’s Search for Meaning and creator of logotherapy) is the source of meaning in life. Not power, not prestige…purpose.

Listening to life will provide the lessons that guide you to your purpose.
